A few years ago I didn’t know the difference between a flash mob and a flashlight. I do now! Recently a flash mob was instrumental in bringing a life-changing message to thousands of Europeans.
One of European Initiative’s core values is to bless the poor. It is in our hearts to begin each year helping some of the poorest of the poor in Europe. I have just returned from leading an 11-person team of Germans and Americans to Romania. Our goal was simple, yet direct: to show the love of Jesus Christ in word and in deed to the impoverished Gypsy people.
Thanks to generous American Christians who have given thousands of dollars, European Initiative has been able to give hundreds of brand new coats, shoes, sleeping bags, and blankets to people who have never received a new article of clothing in their entire life! In Europe, there is no doubt that the “least of these” are the Romanian and Bulgarian Gypsies. The clothing they do own has been torn and battered to the point where many need to stay indoors for survival’s sake during the harsh winters.
