Open trips

In addition to organizing trips for churches and bible colleges, EI offers individuals the opportunity to serve in Europe on any of our open trips. An open trip is comprised of team members coming from different backgrounds, churches, and nations. Experience the diversity of the body of Christ as you minister and unite with believers from all over the world to reach the lost and expand God’s kingdom.

mission romania

Every January, for the past 12 years, European Initiative has led international teams of Christians to Romania — one of Europe’s most impoverished nations — to bless the Roma (Gypsy) people. Today, the Roma are still despised and marginalized by society making it a struggle for them to receive fair education and job opportunities. As a consequence, they are often enslaved by addiction, poverty and lifeless forms of religion.

This year, EI mobilized a team of 27 believers from 9 nations: among them a Canadian oil field engineer, American professional ballet dancers, a mother and daughter from Russia, a missionary from Belarus, and EI staff members from Germany, Hungary and the USA.

Together, we delivered packages of food staple items to help approximately 2,500 Roma people. We provided coats for impoverished children. We went door-to-door into hundreds of cold, one-room shanties, providing humanitarian relief that was coupled with the hope only the gospel can bring. Furthermore, the team shared the gospel in six public schools and at a university, providing several computers, printers and projectors to institutions that had never had any electronic equipment at all. We ministered in several Romanian churches, strengthening the body of Christ.

Each team member can testify to the miraculous that we see released over the Roma people every year; we have countless reports of lives being changed.

the goth fest

Every year on Pentacost, more than 25,000 people travel to Leipzig, Germany, for the world’s largest Gothic festival. Yes, the Goth fest is visually shocking and not for the faint of heart. It is one of the spiritually most extreme trips of our year. But we ask you: if Jesus were to walk the earth today – would he go?
European Initiative invites you to join us for our 11th year of outreach at this event. After the festival, join our staff in Berlin for 4 more days of ministry in the German capital.
It is time for these lost sons and daughters to come home. Will you join us?
Check out our flyer for more information, or message us to sign up today.

Bring A Team!

Europe needs the Gospel. Without a spiritual awakening, the eternal fate of millions of Europeans will be tragic. So what is the solution to the undeniable decline of Christianity? We believe the answer is you. The Body of Christ has alway been God’s ‘Plan A’ to reach a lost and dying world — and EI exists to be that bridge between the gospel and Europe’s lost. Would you consider walking on that bridge with EI to bring the life and love of Jesus to Europe?

If you’re in leadership of any capacity (i.e. pastor, missions pastor, youth pastor, bible college staff, small group leader, etc), then you can send a team to Europe with EI. Here’s what you need to know:

EI teams partner with European churches and/or ministries for outreaches across the continent. We value the European body of Christ and believe great strength comes from working hand-in-hand with them to reach the lost.

EI coordinates all of the logistics once your team is on the ground. We arrange and secure housing, ground transportation, meals — and most importantly, work tirelessly to create a meaningful and high impact ministry schedule that fully utilizes your teams strengths, giftings, and talents. EI also provides support with your team’s recruiting, training, and more.

EI does not have a minimum or maximum team size. However, we suggest a minimum team size of 10 and a maximum of 30. The budget varies upon location and season of travel, however, all costs are used strictly to cover your team’s ground expenses.

EI trips are a front lines missions experience. Your team members will come alive as they share the gospel in both cities and villages, to the least and to the great. While we believe cultural orientation is important, we are not into missions tourism. A free day is often reserved on each trip, but the other outreach days are packed full so that your team’s time is maximized in order to impact hundreds, if not thousands of lives.
